Ira Brown is a battle tested Sr. Talent Acquisition Consultant and the Founder of Big Picture Consulting, a talent acquisition consultancy dedicated to providing cost effective, high impact recruitment search services and innovative talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent, engage passive candidates and build employment brands. Ira has over twenty years of experience implementing customized talent acquisition strategies and attracting passive candidates nationally for a who’s who of technology focused online marketing companies and tech Start-ups. Ira is passionate about researching and leveraging alternative talent acquisition strategies and recruitment marketing best practices including; mobile recruiting, social recruiting, talent communities, career site optimization, recruitment advertising and employment branding solutions.

Earlier in his career, Ira was an HR Consultant for the National Council on Compensation Insurance, Inc., the oldest and largest provider of workers compensation and employee injury data and statistics in the U.S. At NCCI, Ira partnered with Information Resources department hiring managers to proactively discuss open requirements, candidate sourcing strategies, hiring recommendations and salary negotiations. After NCCI, Ira served as Director of Recruiting for Fusive.com, an award wining interactive agency and Microsoft Certified Gold Partner that provided a blend of digital creative design/ Interactive expertise and tech focused web enabled business solutions to Fortune 500 companies. While at Fusive.com,   Ira spearheaded corporate culture initiatives and implemented a multi-faceted national recruiting strategy to attract and retain savvy website development talent nationally across all Fusive.com offices. 

Ira is a SUNY Albany alum and is certified by HubSpot in Inbound Marketing and Email Marketing and by Lou Adler in Performance-based hiring techniques. When he’s not actively thinking about a new talent strategy for a client, pursuing a hot candidate or evaluating a new HR technology platform, Ira enjoys following his favorite sports teams and catching up with friends and family.
